Katy Thompson, PLA, Principal/Founder

Growing up on a ranch in southern Colorado, Katy grew an appreciation for the land at a young age. She found a passion for design and planning when she first flipped through her mom’s gardening magazines, choosing plants and preparing master plans for her future orchard in the field behind the old farmhouse.

Fast forward a couple decades, Katy has gained professional knowledge by learning from some of the industry’s best, and quickly rising to become a trusted partner in projects ranging from residential design/build to commercial and residential master planning. Having successfully managed the design and entitlement of projects across Northern Colorado, Katy brings a practical understanding of the profession to the table, and prides herself on her ability to keep projects organized while providing effective communication between stakeholders, consultants, and local jurisdictions.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture, Colorado State University
